Coastal rain and inland storms expected for SW Florida as Gulf system develops

FORT MYERS, Fla.

Isolated showers and thunderstorms are possible once again Friday afternoon, but coverage should be limited. Afternoon high temperatures will be closer to average for this time of year, peaking in the low 90s. It’ll still feel like over 100 degrees, though, and Collier County is under another heat advisory until 7 p.m. Friday.

An area of low pressure is expected to develop in the Gulf, just in time for the weekend. That will boost our rain chances over the next few days.
