GREEN BAY (WLUK) — Construction activities will impact boaters who need the Ray Nitschke Memorial Bridge lifted.
Green Bay public works officials say, starting Monday and lasting through Oct. 31, there will be 50-by-40-foot barges staged under the fixed spans. The barges will be in place from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. The barges are not expected to impact traffic in the main navigational channel of the Fox River, and construction is not expected to impact the ability to operate the bridge.
This Tuesday, and again on Sept. 9, from 7 a.m.-4 p.m., mariners will need to provide a two-hour advance notice to the drawtender. Boats that are able to pass under the lowered bridge may do so at any time…
