North Texas Schools Consider Screen-Time Policies

(TNS) — At the beginning of the pandemic, school districts scrambled to get laptops and tablets into the hands of every student as they shifted to online learning.

Six years later, those devices are a near-ubiquitous presence in many Texas classrooms. A growing number of parents are concerned about how much screen time their children get at school, and North Texas districts are trying to find a balance between the benefits of learning the tech and the potential negative impacts.
