Beloved Perry County emu dies; is wildfire smoke to blame?

PERRY COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — Elvis, the beloved Perry County emu, has died. He was at least 5 years old.

His person, Hanna Yohn, who rescued him twice (once after he had been on the run for seven months and again after someone vandalized his original enclosure), announced in a Facebook post she had found him lifeless Friday morning.

Although no one will ever know for sure, Yohn speculated wildfire smoke could be to blame…
