Night 2 of the Boise Sectionals saw the high schoolers rule the pool, particularly 15-year-old Naomi Weibel, from Flying Fish Arizona.
Weibel just finished her freshman year at Canyon Del Oro High School, and picked up two top-2 finishes on the 2nd night of the meet, including an event win in the 400 IM. She was the only event winner on the women’s side who is not a college athlete.
In the 100 backstroke, Weibel finished 2nd, stopping the clock in 1:04.79. She came in half-a-second behind Washington State’s Jade Castro, who won the event in 1:04.29…
