JANS – Dr. Audwin Fletcher, tenured professor of nursing, has been inducted into the Fellows of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (FAANP) program for 2026.
Dr. Fletcher is among 59 members of FAANP recognized for outstanding achievements and exemplary service. Less than 1% of AANP members are inducted into the FAANP, and this recognition is considered among the nursing profession’s highest honors. Fellows in the program are those having made or continue making a positive and profound impact on national and global health through leadership, mentorship, and contributing to professional development programs.
A 35-year employee of UMMC, Dr. Fletcher holds a doctorate in clinical health sciences and is an advanced practice registered nurse, and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. He also has taught and mentored undergrad and grad students in the School of Nursing for 28 years…
