HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WDAM) – Forty-four dogs rescued from a mobile trailer in Jackson are now recovering at Hub City Humane Society, where shelter leaders say the community can play a vital role in helping the animals heal.
The dogs are among 74 rescued last week after they were found crammed inside a trailer in dangerous heat. Many arrived at the Hattiesburg shelter suffering from mange and are now receiving medical treatment while staff work to help them adjust to a safer environment.
