MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – Thousands of fans packed Camp Randall Stadium Sunday night for AC/DC’s first Madison concert since 2001, braving temperatures in the 80s and haze from Canadian wildfire smoke.
Officials said they monitored air quality and heat conditions throughout the week ahead of the show. Fans, however, said their focus was on the music.
For many in attendance, the 25-year gap between Madison tour dates made the night especially meaningful.
“They’re my dad’s favorite band. We’ve never got the chance to see them together,” Josh Bonness, who attended the concert with his father, said. “We always seem to miss out when they’re coming around. So when we saw they were coming down to Madison, we knew we weren’t going to miss it.”…
