PORTLAND, Ore. – TriMet will upgrade rail crossings on the MAX Blue and Red lines as part of the Westside MAX Improvements project.
From July 26 to August 8, crews will repair and upgrade tracks at three crossings. This work necessitates the disruption of service of two nearby sections of MAX Blue and Red lines and subsequently affect traffic. The rail crossings are reportedly close to thirty years old, and TriMet states it is time to “raise and stabilize them” to create a “smoother experience.”
During work from July 26 to August 1, Beaverton Creek MAX station will be partially closed as crews work between Elmonica/SW 170th Ave and Milikan Way MAX stations. From August 2 to August 8, crews will perform work between Merlo Rd/SW 158th MAX Station and Willow Creek/SW 185th Ave Transit Center.
