LOC shares vision for Mission Hub with community groups

Love Our Community (LOC), under Chief Executive Officer Kelli Viscounte, reached out to the community in the spring asking individuals, businesses, nonprofits and other organizations and clubs to join LOC at its Mission Hub, 532 W. Maple St. in Hartville, for lunch and a presentation to learn more about the organization.

The location sits at the corner of state Routes 43 and 619, a highly visible, high-impact area at the heart of the community. The event was called “Gratitude Gathering 2026.” Thirteen members of St. Jacob’s Lutheran Church took advantage of the invitation on Tuesday, July 14. Lunch was served at noon, and the presentation and discussion lasted an hour and a half, followed by a tour. In addition to Viscounte, Brianna Gugov, administrative assistant, and Missy Love, retail manager, hosted the group. The new centralized Mission Hub will serve as the heart of LOC’s outreach by providing counseling and case management, retail and community spaces, and meals and gathering areas. LOC’s fundraising goal for the Mission Hub is $1.1 million. The property was purchased for $350,000. In addition to the former Church of God building, the purchase included two homes, one at 526 W. Maple St. and the other at 543 Sunnyside St. SW, which continue to be rented for income, as well as an additional lot. The total appraised value of the four parcels was $1,427,200…
