DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — Steelton Mayor Ciera Dent elaborated on her intent to resign during a meeting Monday night.
The mayor announced her decision late last week.
In a tearful speech, she said “I first took office, I did so with one simple goal and it was to leave Steelton better than I found it. I knew the job would require long hours, difficult decisions, and moments where there will be disagreement. Public service is rarely easy, and leadership often requires making decisions that not everyone will support. I accepted that responsibility because I believed and still do believe that this community is worth every sacrifice.”…
