The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is introducing virtual reality workforce training for incarcerated individuals as part of an effort to better prepare them for life after release.
The program uses mobile virtual reality simulators through the Alabama Community College System’s Skills for Success initiative, allowing participants to explore more than 30 high-demand career fields before choosing a training program that fits their interests.
