In 1993, Collier’s Reserve Country Club (Naples, Fla.) became the first golfing community in the world to be designated an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary. Now, more than 30 years later, the club is vying to become the first ever facility to be recognized with Audubon International Platinum Signature Sanctuary certification.
The status represents the highest possible acknowledgment of a club’s community-wide commitment to sustainable practices and biodiversity.
