(FOX40.COM) — A firefighter was injured Monday afternoon after being struck by a power line in a Sacramento outbuilding fire, fire officials said.
At around 2:15 p.m., Sacramento Fire Department crews responded to a report of a fire on the 1900 block of Grand Ave in East Del Paso Heights. Although initially reported as a residential structure fire, crews later learned that the fire was in an outbuilding behind it, fire officials said.
Crews travelled down an alley where they found power lines “showing from the outbuilding” that were involved with the fire. The power lines struck one firefighter, fire officials said.
The firefighter’s body seemed to have experienced an “electrical shock,” but he was able to walk after the incident, fire officials said. He was transported to a hospital for observation and is in stable condition…
