Santa Rosa husband who beat wife with electric guitar sentenced

(KRON) — A father of five was sentenced Monday for beating his wife with an electric guitar inside their Santa Rosa home, prosecutors said.

Arnulfo Favian Montes-Medina, 38, was sentenced by Sonoma County Superior Court Judge Lynnette Brown to serve one year in county jail for felony domestic violence.

The District Attorney’s Office said, on October 5, 2025, Montes-Medina’s wife made multiple “frantic 911 calls” pleading for help from police. She reported Montes-Medina “literally beat me with a guitar.” Prosecutors said the domestic violence attack happened inside the couple’s home, where they live with three of their five children…
