According to public filings, ZooBoba is planning to open at 3131 Custer Road, Suite 194, inside the Custer Park Shopping Center in Plano, with construction expected to wrap by early November. What Now Dallas reached owner Manisha Shrestha, who said the opening is still further down the road.
According to the shop’s own description on Facebook, ZooBoba is billing itself as a spot “where every bite feels like home, and every sip brings joy,” with a menu built around handcrafted boba drinks alongside juicy momos, the popular Nepali dumpling traditionally filled with spiced meat or vegetables and served with dipping sauce. The shop has also teased ice cream on its social pages, positioning the concept as a combination boba bar, momo spot and ice cream shop rolled into one, rather than sticking to a single category.
That combination sets ZooBoba apart from the standard boba shop format that has proliferated across North Texas in recent years, most of which stick to drinks and light snacks.
