A hiker is recovering after an encounter with a brown bear in Anchorage’s Bear Valley area.
Anchorage Police and Fire Department crews, along with Alaska State Troopers, responded Saturday evening to reports of a bear incident on a trail near Kenai Terrace Road and Brewsters Drive.
