COLUMBUS, Ohio (WKBN) – The Ohio EPA is going to take data center permitting one case at a time and is bypassing a general federal permit when it comes to discharge from the centers.
In public notice issued Tuesday, the state agency said that it is not moving forward with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) general permit for data centers. Ohio is fully authorized to issue the federal permits, including an approved biosolids program.
