TROY, N.Y (NEWS10) — The second annual Unity in the Community festival will be returning to Troy this weekend. The event will be held at Riverfront Park on July 25.

The yearly festival aims to bring residents together to showcase regionally-based artists and businesses, celebrate diversity in the area, and strengthen community bonds. The day will feature over 20 musical acts ranging in genre from rock, blues, and funk, to hip-hop, R&B, and reggae, as well as over a dozen craft vendors offering art, jewelry, baked goods, and more.
Unity in the Community will also host several local organizations and nonprofits providing information and resources for educational, mentoring, and mental health support services. The Saturday festival is set to run from noon to 8 p.m.

“Unity in the Community is more than entertainment,” organizer Rodney Duskes said. “It’s about creating opportunities for musicians to be heard, for small businesses to grow, for community organizations to connect with those they serve, and for neighbors to come together in celebration of our diversity.”
Riverfront Park is located at 1 Front Street, and the event’s rain site is the Troy Boys and Girls Club, located at 1700 Seventh Avenue. Unity in the Community is free to attend and open to the public…
