AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – Young adults who aged out of Georgia’s foster care system will move into Augusta’s first tiny home community in about three months, with a ribbon cutting planned for mid-October.
Bridge Builder Communities is behind the project, which is designed specifically for former foster youth between the ages of 18 and 24. Founder and CEO Dr. Jackson Drumgoole said the community has been central to the effort.
“We’ve been just overwhelmed with the amount of love,” Drumgoole said. “If you look around you see folks from every walks of life giving their time, talent and treasures so it’s been great.”
