Roseville shoplifter arrested for stealing vodka and bacon

(FOX40.COM) —Last month, the Roseville Police Department arrested a woman caught shoplifting vodka and thick-cut bacon from grocery stores, officials announced Tuesday.

On June 4, officers were dispatched to a theft in progress at a Bel Air grocery store. 39-year-old Shanae Watkins allegedly concealed six handles of Tito’s Vodka and and at least 14 packages of Oscar Mayer Thick-Cut Bacon in her shoulder bag.

Watkins attempted to pay for a few unrelated items at the self-checkout as a means to possibly distract employees from the theft. Her card was declined and she was then confronted by the store’s loss prevention team who had already spotted the stolen goods. She became confrontational with staff and left the store with the shoplifted items, Roseville police said…
