(FOX40.COM) —Last month, the Roseville Police Department arrested a woman caught shoplifting vodka and thick-cut bacon from grocery stores, officials announced Tuesday.
On June 4, officers were dispatched to a theft in progress at a Bel Air grocery store. 39-year-old Shanae Watkins allegedly concealed six handles of Tito’s Vodka and and at least 14 packages of Oscar Mayer Thick-Cut Bacon in her shoulder bag.
Watkins attempted to pay for a few unrelated items at the self-checkout as a means to possibly distract employees from the theft. Her card was declined and she was then confronted by the store’s loss prevention team who had already spotted the stolen goods.
