Massey’s moving out of Towne Center location, see which retailer is replacing them

One of the original tenants in Towne Center at Cedar Lodge will be replaced by a menswear store that is returning to the Baton Rouge market.

Massey’s Professional Outfitters, which has sold outdoor gear from brands such as Patagonia, Hoka and Big Green Egg since the lifestyle center opened in 2005, will close next month. Shawn Bentley, Massey’s manager, said the shopping center found a new tenant for the space. Massey’s was notified on Thursday that they need to vacate by the end of August, he said.

Jos. A. Bank, which sells tailored men’s clothing, shoes and accessories, will move into Massey’s spot next to Whole Foods. The menswear store used to have a location at the Mall of Louisiana but closed in 2021 as part of a mass shuttering as the company faced financial pressures from the COVID pandemic.
