Police serve ice cream to raise funds for Special Olympics Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – Charlottesville and Albemarle County law enforcement officers traded their badges for ice cream scoops Tuesday to raise money for Special Olympics Virginia.

Officers served ice cream from 1 to 3 p.m. during the Scoops for Champions fundraiser at Ben & Jerry’s. The event supports Special Olympics Virginia athletes and promotes inclusion in the community.
