West Roseville shelter-in-place issued after home battery storage fire

ROSEVILLE, Calif. — A shelter-in-place order has been issued for 18 homes in West Roseville due to air quality concerns following a fire involving a home battery storage system, according to the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

The fire happened near Baseline Road and Stargazer Drive. The affected homes are located along Lily Lane and Royal Lilly Way, and residents have been notified by the Placer County Sheriff’s Office.

The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is in unified command with Cal Fire. Cal Fire, Roseville Fire and the Placer County Sheriff’s Office remain on scene monitoring the situation…
