URBANDALE, Iowa — An arrest has been made in connection with the shooting that occurred during Urbandale’s Fourth of July celebration.

At around 10:22 p.m. on July 4, the Urbandale Police Department responded to a shots-fired call at Lion’s Park, where the city hosts its Fourth of July celebrations. Officers were nearby when the gunshots were reported and quickly secured the area, the UPD said. No injuries were reported.
On Tuesday, the UPD announced it arrested Alfred Pyne, 18, and charged him with reckless use of a firearm and intimidation with a dangerous weapon in connection with the shooting. He is being held at the Polk County Jail.
