MEDINA, Ohio (WJW) – About 3 p.m. Sunday, Medina police received an urgent call from the husband of a 75-year-old woman who left that morning to attend an art festival in Medina Square and had not returned home.
“She’s out on the road somewhere between here and Akron. She’s been having cognitive issues and she seems to be lost,” the caller said. “She said she was upset and confused. She was off the side of the road somewhere. Coventry, Pike is all she would give us and then she hung up.”
Medina Police Chief Ed Kinney said the department sent out a BOLO, believing she was still in an area between Akron and Medina.
