MEMPHIS, Tenn. — If you’re missing some money in Mississippi, the state treasurer’s office will be in Olive Branch next week to help you claim it.
State Treasurer David McRae’s Unclaimed Money Team will be at the Olive Branch Senior Center from 2-6 p.m. on July 29, helping residents find out if they have a possible cash windfall from lost funds.
The money could be from savings accounts, inheritances, insurance benefits or tax refunds that have gone unclaimed over the years. After five years of inactivity on an account, the money is sent to the State Treasurer’s office.
