The Montecito Club has two personalities. The main dining room — high wood ceilings, wrought iron chandeliers, grand white walls — is elegant and masculine and a little cavernous until someone with vision gets hold of it. The Red Room is bold, crimson, dramatic, and already doing a lot of the talking before a single vendor sets foot inside. SPARK Creative Events looked at both rooms and made a decision that I think is genuinely brilliant: lean all the way into the contrast. Make the dining room soft, warm, and enveloping. Make the Red Room electric, bold, and unforgettable. Let guests walk from one world into another and feel the shift in their chest. That is not decorating. That is design. And this wedding is one of the best examples of it I have seen at this venue.
