Baker’s celebrated the groundbreaking today of its future Baker’s Marketplace grocery store at 18303 Evans Street, just south of 182nd & West Maple Road.
Cincinnati-based Kroger, which owns Baker’s, is using a cutting-edge prototype design for the $40 million supermarket, which will be Baker’s 13th store in the Omaha area.
The new store brings the company’s investment in Omaha to more than $110 million over the past decade, including the Baker’s Marketplace currently under construction at 5010 South 205th Street (northwest of 204th & Q Street). That location is scheduled to open later this year…
