Most people in Pittsburgh will tell you that McKnight Road sucks. And that’s why I’ve tried, on many occasions over the last seven years, to bypass it. But when you live in the North Hills like me, it’s all but unavoidable. I’ve tried multiple “shortcuts” and backroads, yet the fastest route is consistently McKnight.
When you venture north to south and back again, day after day, McKnight can become a McNightmare. The road is my jailer, and I’m stuck, like many of you, in its clutches. I have accepted that and even developed what I call “commuter Stockholm syndrome.” So, I’ve forced myself to find things to love about it.
And you know what? There are many delights on McKnight…
