LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Additional details in the police report released Wednesday allege a dog owner drunkenly threatened officers after his Labrador Retriever was shot by a Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) officer on Sunday.

A Tuesday news release from LRPD detailed how an officer was called to the home of 34-year-old Thomas Schmidt on Sunday. Earlier, police had been called to a nearby restaurant-bar after Schmidt “had been consuming alcohol and became increasingly agitated toward patrons,” according to the release.
