Javeayah’s memory drives community to support child advocacy center

AIKEN, S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) – In the aftermath of Javeayah’s death, the community has responded with a growing memorial outside her home, candlelight vigils on both sides of the river and an outpouring of social media support — along with a surge in cash donations and wishlist items to a local child advocacy organization.

The Child Advocacy Center in Aiken has seen a huge increase in help and donations, benefiting the hundreds of children they serve.

Community response sustains beyond initial grief
