HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Huntsville Utilities representatives will join District 1 Council Member Michelle Watkins next week for a community meeting on a proposed battery storage project planned for the Stringfield Substation area.
Watkins organized the meeting to give residents updates on the project and a chance to ask questions before the utility moves forward with any construction.
As previously reported by FOX54, the proposed battery weighs 83,000 pounds and is roughly the size of the rear section of a semi-truck.
