The Indiana Fever are getting their very own limited-edition whiskey helmed by the Cedar Ridge Distillery.
On Wednesday, the Midwest mainstays joined forces for a straight bourbon release commemorating the WNBA team. Distilled from a mashbill of 74% corn, 14% rye and 12% malted barley, the whiskey is bottled at 90 proof and is slated to hit shelves across Indiana beginning next month. No word yet on its price, though visitors to the Cedar Ridge headquarters in Swisher, Iowa, will be able to pick up bottles beginning this Friday.
Founded in 2005 by husband-and-wife team Jeff and Laurie Quint, Cedar Ridge was the first legal, licensed distillery in its home state since Prohibition. The distiller now produces the best-selling brand of bourbon in Iowa, regularly beating out competitors like Jim Beam and Maker’s Mark.
