Trader Joe’s is demolishing neighboring storefronts to expand a New York store

Trader Joe’s has been adding stores around the country as part of an expansion pipeline spanning more than a dozen states. In New York’s Capital Region, however, the chain is addressing demand by making an existing store substantially larger.

Construction is underway to expand the Trader Joe’s at 79 Wolf Road in Colonie. The project will add 2,913 square feet to the existing 13,000-square-foot store, create a second entrance and provide 36 additional parking spaces.
