Lancaster County man pleads guilty to injuring children in wrong-way DUI crash: DA

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A Lancaster County man was sentenced to a minimum of one and a half years in prison after he injured multiple children in a DUI crash last year.

Douglas Leroy Lewis II, 35, of New Holland, pled guilty to aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI, endangering the welfare of children, DUI, recklessly endangering another person and summary traffic offenses, according to the Lancaster County District Attorney’s Office.

The crash occured on April 19, 2025, when Lewis struck a vehicle head-on. A 7-year-old and an 8-year-old both suffered serious injuries in the crash, while Lewis’s 3-year-old son was uninjured, the DA’s office said in a release…
