BROWN COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) – Officials have confirmed the existence of 15 to 20 people buried in unmarked graves near the site of a former mental health facility in Brown County.
Ground-penetrating radar aided the discovery at what was known as Brown County’s “Poor Farm,” which operated during the 19th and 20th centuries. The site had previously been marked as a potential cemetery, but could not be confirmed until the technology was brought in Thursday.
