New $2 million grant to fund five miles of Bossier sidewalks

BOSSIER CITY, La. (KTAL/KMSS) — Bossier City has been selected for a major grant to build new sidewalks along a main roadway.

If you walk along the southbound side of Barksdale Boulevard, you may be able to see a divot in the grass. Many people refer to that divot as a “desired path”, which has been created over time by Bossier City residents walking along the road without a proper sidewalk.

The City of Bossier City has received a $2 million grant to build a five-mile stretch of sidewalk from Westgate Drive to Central Park Drive to improve safety and walkability in the area…
