A firearms investigation by the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office escalated into a residential search warrant in Tampa on Thursday, where deputies say they pulled a dozen guns from a home and found a hefty stash of THC cartridges. Three of the guns, according to investigators, were fitted with devices intended to crank up their rate of fire. Two people were arrested during the operation.

What deputies say they found
In a post from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, detectives reported recovering 12 firearms inside the residence, including three they say were illegally modified with bump-fire stocks. The agency also listed 75 individual packages of THC cartridges among the seized evidence, along with other items tied to the ongoing investigation.
The account was published early Friday morning and, in keeping with standard practice in felony cases, named the two suspects taken into custody at the scene.
