Omaha man arrested for allegedly shining laser at OPD helicopter, hitting both pilots’ eyes

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An Omaha man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly pointed a laser at an Omaha Police helicopter while it was responding to a shooting call.

Josh Perez, 29, appeared in court Friday morning for two counts of assault on an officer – a felony. He was ordered to be held on $5,000 bond.
