Italian and Polish Festivals draw crowds in Western New York

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Two festivals kicked off a weekend of celebrating culture and tradition in Western New York on Friday, with the Galbani Buffalo Italian Heritage Festival on Hertel Avenue and the Cheektowaga Polish American Arts Festival at Cheektowaga Town Park.

Both festivals feature many local vendors with cultural food. Tom Muscarella is the owner of Muscarella’s Cannoli, and he is serving up some of their treats at the Italian Festival.

“My uncle started Muscarella’s Cannoli 51 years ago at the Italian Festival, and my wife and me have taken it over and continuing the heritage,” Muscarella said. He described their cannoli, saying, “They’re made with love.”…
