CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) – A documentary on folk singer and activist Pete Seeger, more than 12 years in the making, is coming to Charlottesville this weekend — and its directors say the film’s message connects directly to this community.
Down by the Riverside was co-directed by Jodie Childers and Dan Messina, both from Charlottesville. The film centers on Seeger’s work along the Hudson River but carries themes its directors say resonate locally.
