As parents and students are preparing for back to school, some campuses in Horry County are already over-capacity.
According to the Planning Commission, any school in the county at 95% student capacity has reached the capacity threshold. It’s then considered Category One which is a red zone. Twenty schools in the county are expected to be in that zone for the upcoming school year.
