AUSTIN (KXAN) – Austin drivers should prepare for overnight closures and lane reductions on I-35 beginning Sunday as construction continues on the Capital Express Central project, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.
TxDOT said crews will implement multiple traffic changes along the Lady Bird Lake segment of the project for roadway maintenance.
Beginning at 9 p.m. Sunday, July 26, all southbound I-35 mainlanes between Riverside Drive and Woodland Avenue will close. Drivers will be directed to use the Woodland Avenue/Oltorf Street exit to access the frontage road and can reenter the mainlanes at the next available entrance ramp.
