‘Significant’ drug seizures in Clark, Pope counties by Arkansas State Police

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Officials with the Arkansas State Police said two significant drug seizures were made on July 22 during two traffic stops.

Both stops took place on the Interstate. Officials said the first one was made on Interstate 30, followed by one an hour later on Interstate 40.

In the first, officials said a trooper pulled over a car on I-30 near Gurdon for a traffic violation at 4:45 p.m. During a search of the car, an officer found a kilogram of fentanyl in a backpack in the trunk.

The driver of the car, 19-year-old Justin Rosas from California, was taken to the Clark County Detention Center, where he is facing charges of felony fentanyl trafficking…
