ALBANY, N.Y. (WNYT) – Albany police said two men were arrested and two loaded handguns were recovered after officers found them in a park after hours.
According to a press release, officers approached two adult men at 1:44 a.m. Saturday, July 25, near Ontario Street and Madison Avenue because they were in the park during posted closed hours. Police said the men were being issued citations when officers found a loaded 9mm handgun on 20-year-old Shamel S. Wright of Schenectady.
Police said 19-year-old Anthony L. Fountain of Albany tried to run. After a brief foot chase, police said he was arrested near Ontario Street and Madison Avenue and found with a loaded .40 caliber handgun…
