CHESAPEAKE BEACH, Md. — An Upper Marlboro man is facing felony charges after Calvert County Sheriff’s Office detectives alleged he participated in the theft of a luxury vehicle valued at approximately $90,000. According to court documents, investigators used license plate reader data, surveillance footage, and cellphone records to identify him as a suspect.
Gregory John Price, 34, of Upper Marlboro, was charged in the District Court for Calvert County with felony unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and felony theft of property valued between $25,000 and $100,000. The charges stem from the June 18, 2026, theft of a white 2024 Lexus GX550 from Horizons on the Bay in Chesapeake Beach.
According to the statement of probable cause, deputies responded at approximately 11 a.m. June 18 to Horizons on the Bay, located at 8501 Bayside Road, for a report of a stolen vehicle.
