A Charlotte mail carrier is behind bars after a woman told police her postal worker walked into her apartment uninvited, then later stopped delivering her mail in what she believes was payback for speaking up.
Charlotte officers arrested 31-year-old Curtis Hooks on July 23 and booked him on charges that local reports list as stalking, breaking and entering, and trespass. The woman, identified only as Tiffany in early reports, said the alleged uninvited entry happened earlier this summer and that her mail was withheld after she made a complaint.
According to Charlotte Alerts News, Hooks works as a U.S. Postal Service carrier in Charlotte and was taken off Tiffany’s route after USPS was notified of the allegation. The outlet reports that investigators were alerted and that he was arrested on July 23 on counts including stalking, breaking and entering, and trespass.
