Fresno’s high temperature reached triple digits again on Saturday, but most other cities in the Valley did not – so we can file Saturday under the ‘seasonably hot’ category. We’ll remain seasonably hot for the next few days, then we’ll pump up the heat to the ‘holy cow it’s hot!’ range by next weekend, with some of the highest heat of the year coming up.
High temperatures on Saturday were hot – but nothing unusual for July. Los Banos reached a high of 96, Merced and Madera ended their day at 97, Hanford topped out at 99, while Fresno made it to the triple digits with a high of 100, our 19th day of triple digit heat this year. There’s a little bit of a Delta Breeze going on – notice how Los Banos, Merced, and Madera were just a little less hot than Fresno & Hanford – but it isn’t much. Expect all of this to continue through Tuesday.
