JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two workers dismantling cranes at CSX’s Jacksonville intermodal ramp were critically injured Friday, July 24, when one of the cranes collapsed, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department reported.
CSX said in a statement to WJXT-TV that workers, subcontractors for a scrap firm dismantling the cranes, were injured in an accident at approximately 10:55 a.m.
“CSX appreciates the swift response of the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office and Jacksonville Fire Department and is supporting their response on scene,” the statement said. “The cause of the incident is under investigation.”…
